Can I attend the groom?
We appreciate that your dog is a very important member of the family, and you want to make sure that they are being well taken care of. Unfortunately, we do not allow pet parents to stay and watch any services. Dogs behave differently for their owners compared to anyone else. (Sometimes for the best, sometimes ... not so much.) We want your dog to be able to focus on the groomer and the service so they can learn what to expect and gain confidence in a grooming environment.
Why does my dog cost more than my neighbor's dog?
Our prices are based on multiple factors that need to be considered for each pet. Those factors include the dog's size, age, behavior, coat type, coat condition, experience with grooming, and complexity of the services requested. It also takes into account how frequently the dog is being groomed. In general, our starting prices are based on a dog that is well behaved and maintained on a consistent recurring grooming schedule of 4 to 8 weeks.
Can't you just get the groom done, even if the dog doesn't like it ?
At Sundog Mobile Grooming, we put your dog's comfort and trust first. While we always aim to achieve the look that the owner wants, sometimes a dog is not comfortable or ready to go through the whole grooming process. In those cases, we help your pet get used to the grooming routine and the tools that we use so that eventually, they will be ready to get the perfect haircut you choose for them! We are happy to talk with each owner to help build a routine for home to get your pup comfortable even quicker!

If we cannot complete a service to the specifications of the owner, the owner will be notified and a modified service will be discussed during the appointment.
